Thom Yorke playing an acoustic version of possibly my favorite Radiohead song, There There, at the Latitude Festival on Saturday. Chills. Make sure you watch in High Definition, or you’re missing out on the sound quality.

Thom Yorke playing the new song, The Present Tense. Listen to it a few times, it’ll stick in your head.

Thom performing The Eraser. Such a good tune, like a more upbeat alternative to Pyramid Song by Radiohead. It’s amazing to hear these songs broken down, without the electronic beats, and played on a grand piano or acoustic guitar.

On Saturday, Thom Yorke performed a 12 song set containing some Radiohead songs, some music off of his solo album ‘The Eraser’, as well as a new song entitled ‘The Present Tense’. I’m not sure if this is new Radiohead material, or just something he thought up himself that might be nice to play for the folks, either way–it’s a solid acoustic performance. Here are links to some audio tracks of the performance, the audio is not the best for ‘The Present Tense’, as it is recorded from somewhere on stage, but it’s clear enough.

Thom Yorke (Radiohead frontman) and his brother Andy Yorke collaborated on a cover of Mark Mulcahy’s “All For The Best”. The song is to be the opening track of a new compilation of Miracle Legion songs, entitled “Ciao My Shining Star”, honoring the recent passing of Mark Mulcahy’s (Miracle Legion frontman) wife.

Thom Yorke is my favorite musician, and this is just more reason why he remains atop the rest. There’s just something about the way he mixes his electronic beats and noises, and if you’ve heard the original track by Mark Mulcahy, you’ll appreciate Thom’s little spin on this song even more.
Best Moment: 3:15 to the end // when the beat begins to build and the guitar feedback cuts through the snare hits.
